How to prepare your print ready files

File Format
We accept the following file formats:  TIF, JPG, PNG, GIF, PDF, PSD, AI, IND, MSWord, MSPub, DWG and DWF.

A  high quality PDF works best for most applications.

Resolution

All file formats must have a minimum of 300 dpi resolution.  The images designed for the web are done at a low screen resolution of 72 dpi for fast loading, not printing.
Safe Zone

All critical elements (text, images, graphics) must be kept at least .125" inside the finished edge.  Anything left too close to the edge may be cut off during trimming.
Bleed

Bleed is the portion of the printed item that will be trimmed off when cut to the final size. The purpose of a bleed is to continue a color, image, or design to the edge of the product.  Please build your press ready digital files by adding a minimum of .15" to the desired finished size.  If for example, you are ordering a 4 x 6 postcard with full bleed (all 4 sides bleed off the edge), size your artwork at 4.15 x 6.15.
Borders

Please allow .1" cutting tolerance around your artwork.  We recommend no borders due to shifting in the printing/cutting process.  Borders may appear uneven.

Color Mode

All color artwork and/or images must be provided in CMYK format. All black and white artwork must be provided in grayscale mode.

Fonts and links

When submitting live AI, PSD, IND and MSPub files, all fonts and linked graphics must be embedded or converted to outlines and vectors. If possible, it's best to save these live files as High Quality PDFs and submit them instead.
